Aloo Dam Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc bay leaf
3 Tbsps of oil
1/2 tsp of ginger
1 pc tomato
1/4 tsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
1.5 tsp of chili powder
1/4 tsp of salt
2/3 tsp of yogurt
2 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of garlic
1 pc capsicum
1 lb of potatoes
1 pc onion
Instructions:
Heat the oil, adding onion and bay leaf. Fry this for around 3-4 min. Then add the garlic plus the ginger. Fry again for one minute.
Slice the mustard plus the cumin, and cut the capsicum and tomatoes. Add all these, mixing them well, cooking for around 4-5 min. Stir this continuously.
Sprinkle the coriander, chili and turmeric. Whip yogurt until smooth. Add salt and yogurt to mixture. Mix it gently, then cover. Cook this for approximately 10 min. on minimal heat.
