Aloo Gobi Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc cauliflower
1/4 c of oil
4 potatoes
1 tsp of cumin seeds
3 cloves of garlic
1 pc of ginger (fresh)
3 pcs of tomato
3/4 tsp of turmeric
2 tsps of coriander powder
1 tsp of chili powder (red)
1 tsp of garam masala
Instructions:
Cut up the cauliflower, turning it to flowerets. Heat the oil then saute the cumin for around 1 minute. Then add ginger and garlic, stirring them together.
Cook the potatoes, adding chili and turmeric. When the potatoes are half-cooked, add the tomatoes, simmering for around 5 min.
Then add the cauliflower, cooking for 1 minute in intense heat. Then lower the heat and cover the curry. Simmer mixture for 15 min.
The curry must have a damp-dry quality after it has cooked. This serves 6.
