Aloo Matar Rasedaar Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pc medium-sized onion; finely chopped
1 in of a stick of cinnamon
2 pcs of tomato; quartered
5 Tbsps of ghee
2 cloves of garlic; chopped
1 tsp of garam masala
1/2 tsp of coriander
1 tsp of powdered chili
2 pcs of bay leaves
1/2 tsp of turmeric
2 pcs medium-sized potatoes; cubed
1 & 1/4 c of water
1/2 c of green peas
A pinch of salt
1 pc of cilantro; chopped
Instructions:
Heat the ghee. Saute the garlic and onion over temperate heat until golden. Next, add the cloves, cinnamon and bay leaves. Fry and stir for about 2 min.
Mix in the chili, turmeric, tomatoes, salt, garam masala and coriander. Add the peas and potatoes. Pour water in and boil. Minimize heat and cover pan. Simmer it gently until done (approx. 15 min.).
Use coriander for garnishing and serve. This serves 4.
