Basic Balti Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
3 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
1 ginger (small); peeled & grated
1 clove garlic (large); crushed
1/2 tsp of ground cumin
1 Tbsp of paprika
1 tsp of chili seasoning
Salt
4 chopped onions
1 chopped tomato
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1 coriander (fresh); chopped
1/2 tsp of coriander (ground)
300 ml water
Instructions:
Heat oil well in saucepan placed over mid-heat. Fry your onions, garlic and ginger ’til onions turn translucent. You add chopped tomatoes and have them stir-fried. Break them up using a spoon.
You poor the water into pan then add in remaining ingredients. Let it boil then adjust the heat. Have it covered and simmered for about 30 mins. Remove the pan from the heat then cool completely.
Pour mixture into blender then pulse to liquidize.
