Basic Lamb Balti Recipe
Ingredients:
4 lamb (pre-cooked) portions
8 ounces of chopped onion
4 Tbsp of Balti-masala paste
Salt
4 garlic cloves; chopped
1 Tbsp of Garam-masala
8 fluid ounces of stock
3 Tbsps of ghee
2 Tbsps of fresh coriander-leaf; chopped
Instructions:
Have ghee heated in karahi then stir-fry garlic as quick as you can. Add onions then adjust heat. Fry ’til translucent & is about to turn brown.
You add meat & paste. You turn heat higher then stir-fry them togeteher for 5 mins. Gradually add your stock then simmer it on low-heat for 10 mins.
Check if meat is tender, adding more water or stock as necessary. Add garam-masala & coriander-leaves. Season w/ salt then simmer it for 15 miuntes more. Best when served w/ naan-bread.
