Besan Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 c of flour (chickpea)
1/4 c of peas (green)
1 onion (large)
1/2 tsp of garlic seasoning
1/4 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of turmeric
1 tomato (large)
1/2 c of oil (vegetable)
1 potato (large)
1/4 pound of ginger
1/4 tsp of powdered mustard
1/4 tsp of coriander
1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Gradually add water into flour ’til you produce a thickened batter, then add garlic seasoning & salt.
Put skillet over low-heat then heat your oil. You slowly drop half teaspoonfuls of the batter into heated oil, cook ’til golden-brown. Pick besan up w/ a strainer then transfer into dried pan.
Slice in pieces then place in medium bowl. Next, chop the onions & saute with a Tbsp of oil drippings. Add the turmeric, coriander, mustard and cumin powders. Mix well. Add the potatoes and at least 1/4 c water.
Have the ginger cut into tiny pieces then add it into your curry. Then add your sliced tomatoes into pan then cover.
Once potatoes are soft, you add your besan slowly into your curry. Season w/ salt. Cook within 15 mins from adding potatoes and besan.
