Bhelpuri Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pack of sev
A carton of rice-crispies
2 c of mashed potatoes (boiled)
1/2 c of chopped coriander leaves
3 Tbsps of roasted & ground cumin
Chilies (green)
Black pepper
4 Tbsps of tamarind
Jaggery
1 c of onions; chopped
Instructions:
Season the mashed potatoes w/ pepper & salt. Add chopped leaves of corainder as well.
Dissolve your tamarind in 1 c boiled water then, allow to gradually thicken. Have your jaggery dissolved ’til sauce is tart & is slightly sweetened. It must have a very thin consistency.
Pour carefully into serving containers. Combine the rice crispies & serve in mixing bowl.
Scoop rice-bhel mix into plates then add chilies & onions then dust w/ powdered cumin. Pour prepared sauce over. Garnish w/ coriander. Season w/ pepper & salt as desired.
