Lamb Chops Masala Recipe
Ingredients:
3 pcs ginger (fresh); peel and chop coarsely
3 Tbsps garlic; peel and chop
8 pcs of lamb chops (excess fat removed)
1 c of tomatoes; chopped finely
2 medium-sized onions; minced
1 Tbsp of cayenne pepper
1.5 c yogurt (greek); beat well
1 tsp of cumin (seeds); ground & roasted
1.5 tsp of salt
3 Tbsps lemon juice
1-2 tsps garam masala (Punjabi)
3 Tbsps coriander (fresh, green); chopped
Instruction:
Mix ginger, garlic and two to three tablespoons lukewarm water then process in a blender til consistency is that of paste.
Combine in a wok the lambchops, onions, tomatoes, spices, yogurt with the blended paste. Stir well then bring mixture to boil then simmer the mixture for an hour or a little less til lambchops are nearly done.
Sprinkle cumin then simmer ten to fifteen minutes more or til the lambchops become tender with sauce thicker. Add garam masala then juice (lemon) and mix well.
Garnish with coriander on top before serving.
