Bonda With Instant Mashed Potato Recipe
Ingredients:
1 medium-sized onion
1.5 c of carrots mixed with peas
2 c of potatoes (use buds)
2 pcs of chilies (green)
A tsp of lemon (juice)
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 c of (gram) flour
1 bunch (just small) of coriander leaves; finely chop
1/4-inch slice of ginger
1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
Pinch of turmeric
2 tsp of salt
Oil
Instruction:
Sprinkle half a teaspoon of salt on the potato (buds) then add a cup of heated water. Finely chop the onion, coriander, chilies and ginger then set aside.
Fry mustard seeds in about five tablespoons of your oil, stir in (chopped) ingredients then cook til the onions become brown. Pour in carrots with peas, powdered turmeric then salt to taste.
Continue to cook over low temperature for ten more minutes. Add potatoes (mashed) then cook five more minutes.
Remove pan from the heat then pour squeezed lemon (juice) then allow food to cool down before serving.
