Cauliflower With Onion & Tomato Recipe
Ingredients:
1 medium-sized cauliflower; break in florets
7 Tbsps of water
1 medium-sized onion; minced
1 pc ginger; grate
5 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
6 cloves of garlic; minced
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin
2 small-sized tomatoes; peel & chop
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 fresh chili (green); chopped
A dash of cayenne
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp garam masala
Instruction:
Soak cut up cauliflower in cool water in about thirty minutes, then drain. Combine ginger, onion and water on a food processor til you reach a paste-like texture. Set it aside.
Using a medium-sized skillet, heat the oil on moderate heat then saute garlic til translucent. Add in cauliflower and saute for two more minutes then transfer it into a saucepan.
Saute the ginger-onion paste for a minute then add the tomatoes, coriander and cumin. Saute some more and add the rest of the spices.
Lower down the heat then put back cauliflower on the skillet. Add water and simmer for five to ten minutes. Once done, sprinkle some garam masala on top.
