Chicken Tandoori (I) Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp of powdered mustard
1 pc of ginger (fresh); peeled and chopped
1/2 tsp of cumin (seeds)
1/2 tsp of coriander (ground)
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1/4 tsp of powdered chili (hot)
1 tsp of juice (lemon)
2 tsps of tomato paste (canned)
1/3 c of oil (corn oil)
2/3 c of yogurt (plain)
8 pcs of chickens (drumsticks); skinned
Optional:
Lemon & Lime twists
Parsley sprigs (fresh)
Instructions:
Combine mustard, cumin, ginger, coriander, juice, powdered chili, and turmeric inside a small bowl. Gradually add oil then (tomato) paste; stir thoroughly till smoothened.
Add yogurt and the rest of oil; stir thoroughly.
Prick the drumsticks then place on a baking dish and pour over the marinade; turning the drumsticks to coat well. Marinate inside the refrigerator, covered.
Preheat the broiler then arrange the drumsticks on a pan then cook for 30 to 35 mins or till cooked thoroughly. Turn and baste occasionally to even out the cooking and browning.
Garnish if preferred. Serve while hot.
