Lentils With Garlic & Onion Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Tbsps oil (vegetable)
1/2 tsp cumin (seeds)
4 cloves of garlic; minced
1 med-sized onion; minced
3 c of water
1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper
1 c of lentils; wash & drain
1 tsp of salt
Instruction:
Heat vegetable oil and fry cumin (seeds) til it sizzles. Stir in garlic then add onions. Pour in water then lentils and increase heat to boil.
When boiling, lower heat and simmer mixture for one hour (or til lentils become tender). Season with cayenne pepper and salt. Continue to cook for five more minutes while stirring. Serve hot.
