Masalewali Alu Mattar Khumben Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 c of ghee
1/2 c of water
1 large-sized onion; diced
4 cloves of garlic; minced
1 Tbsps of garam masala
2 lbs of potatoes; cube
1 tsp turmeric
2 lbs of mushrooms; cut in half
1/4 tsp chilies (red, dried)
Salt to taste
1 c of fresh peas (or frozen)
Instruction:
Heat the ghee (oil) in a large-sized pot then add the onion and garlic and cook til brown. Add ginger and cook two minutes more.
Add in garam masala, chili and turmeric and fry another minute. Pour water then salt and allow to boil then simmer another eight to ten minutes while (stirring occasionally).
Add in mushrooms and peas then cook with cover on for five to eight minutes, then remove cover, increase heat then cook til three quarters of the water is evaporated (stir constantly).
