Masoor Dal Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of dal (masoor)
1 inch slice of fresh ginger
1 pc of onion
3.5 c of water
A pinch of turmeric
1 tsp of cumin (seeds)
2 cloves of garlic
2 Tbsps of butter
Instruction:
Wash dal then drain well. Add to boiling water then put spices in. Put on lid and then simmer twenty minutes or til lentils are soft.
Fry cumin seeds til brown in heated ghee. Add onions, paprika then chopped (finely) tomatoes. Pour this mixture on the boiled dal then serve while still hot.
