Mrinal’s Special Yogurt Salmon Recipe
Ingredients:
3 lbs of salmon; bones removed and cut in 2 inch fillets
1 Tbsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt
4 garlic cloves; minced
4 cardamom pods
1 tsp of cayenne pepper
1 tsp of turmeric
8 pcs of pepper corns (black, whole)
1.5 c of water
8 pcs cloves
1 c of yogurt (low fat)
2 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
1 pc of onion (white, large); sliced into one fourth inch thickness
2 Tbsps of ginger (fresh); shredded
1/2 cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Heat up the oil then cook the pods of cardamom then add the pepper corns, cloves and cinnamon. When it starts to boil add the onions then the ginger.
Continue cooking until onions are caramelized stirring constantly. Simmer on medium heat then add water, cayenne, yogurt, turmeric then sugar. Season with salt.
Add the salmon fillet then simmer ’till fish has been cooked. Good for six persons.
