Mughlai Chicken With Almonds Recipe
Ingredients:
A bunch of coriander
2.5 tsps of salt
2.5 lbs of boneless chicken
1/4 tsp of garam masala
1 carton whipping cream (small)
7 Tbsps of yogurt
1/2 tsp of pepper (red)
2 tsps of cumin powder
2 pcs of onions (medium); chopped to bits
10 cardamom pods
5 whole cloves
2 pcs of Laurel leaves
7 Tbsps of oil (vegetable)
1 stick of cinnamon (1 inch)
6 Tbsps of almonds; blanched
9 cloves of garlic
1 small ginger (about an inch)
Instructions:
Blend the almonds, garlic and ginger in water using a blender. Mean while, pan fry chicken until nicely brown in color. Drain on paper towels.
Using the same skillet saute your cardamom, cloves then Laurel leaves. When leaves have turned brown, add your onions then stir fry a minute or two more.
Decant the garlic paste onto your onions then continue stirring until oil eventually separates from cooking mixture.
Add one tablespoon of the yogurt then cook thirty seconds more. Add more until you acquire an even consistency.
Add cooked chicken, cream then season with salt. Simmer for twenty minutes then add the garam masala plus the coriander.
