Nargisi Puri Recipe


Nargisi Puri Recipe

Ingredients:

Ghee
1 pc of chili (green); seeds removed then diced
1 Tbsp of mint (fresh)
or
1 Tbsp of coriander (fresh)
2 whole eggs; hard boiled; shells removed & mashed
2 Tbsps of ghee/butter
1.5 c of flour (all purpose)

Instructions:

Mix together eggs, chili, coriander and salt. Separate into eight portions. Run flour plus one teaspoon of salt through a sieve. Mix together with two tablespoons of ghee.

Gradually add hot water and knead until you form a manageable dough. Separate dough to eight parts equal in size then shape to form balls.

Flatten each small ball then scoop egg mixture on top. Fold over then crimp edges. Flatten the balls further but be careful not the let the filling escape from your pasties.

Deep fry each pasty until it turns nicely golden in color. Serve alongside yogurt. Good for eight persons.
