Orange & Currant Pilaf Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp of salt
1&3/4 c of water
1 tsp of ginger; minced
1 tsp of orange rind; shredded finely
1 Tbsp of currants
1 c of rice (Basmati)
1/4 c of onions; minced
1 Tbsp of oil
Instructions:
Saute onions until nicely golden in color. Add orange rind, currants, ginger then rice then simmer for two minutes. Mix in salt then water then let it boil.
Place lid back on and simmer for fifteen minutes. Remove from heat, take the lid off then serve after five minutes.
