Paneer (Homemade Cheese) Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of vinegar
A gallon of milk
Oil (vegetable)
Instructions:
Place milk inside a kitchen pot to boil. As soon as you see bubbles form, add vinegar then stir. Allow the curds to break away from the whey (liquid part).
Run milk through fine mesh sieve (cheesecloth). Bundle up cheese-cloth and twist to wring out whey. Place cloth atop a level dry plane and put a weighty object to press down on the cheese. This is to let it shape into a patty and to wring out excess whey.
Aftter two hours, cheese should be manageable. Cut into cubes then fry. Good for two recipes. Freeze any left over paneer or cheese.
